# Mechanica assets This source directory is reserved for lightweight imported assets that should be bundled by Vite. Heavy runtime assets such as GLB models, compressed textures, generated thumbnails, Draco decoders, and KTX2 transcoders should live under `public/assets` or a CDN configured by `VITE_ASSET_BASE_URL`. See `docs/asset-pipeline.md` for the production asset strategy.
