Terms of Service

Last updated: 15 June 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of FablePool. FablePool is operated by Barras Industries Ltd ("Barras Industries", "we", "us"), a company registered in England & Wales — company number 15954079, registered office Carlisle House, Carlisle Street, Goole, DN14 5DS. Contact: matthew@barrasindustries.com.

By creating an account, buying credits, or funding a project, you agree to these Terms, our Refund Policy and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use FablePool.

1. The service

FablePool lets people pool prepaid credits to fund AI builds. An AI agent attempts each funded build, milestone by milestone, in public — prompts, build logs, and the credit ledger are published as part of the service. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, including pausing builds while we maintain or change our infrastructure or AI providers.

2. Eligibility and accounts

FablePool is intended only for users aged 18 or over. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. You must provide accurate information and use the service lawfully.

3. Credits

  • Credits are a prepaid balance pegged at 1 credit = $0.01 of list-price AI inference, used to fund builds on FablePool.
  • Credits expire after 12 consecutive months of account inactivity. Any credit activity — buying credits, funding a project, or spending — resets the 12-month period. Expired credits are forfeited and cannot be reinstated. We may change the expiry period on notice.
  • Credits represent prepaid access to FablePool services and do not constitute stored value, electronic money, a deposit, investment, or financial product.
  • Credits are non-transferable and may not be sold, gifted, exchanged, or traded between users.
  • Credits have no cash value and are not redeemable for cash except where required by law.

4. Payments and promotions

Card payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. The price and any credit amount are shown at checkout. We may offer, vary, or withdraw promotional discounts (such as limited-time discounts on credits) at any time. Sales tax or other charges may apply depending on your location.

Generating a project plan costs a one-time fee in credits, shown before you post (this fee is waived for active subscribers). The fee pays for plan generation and, once a plan has been produced, is non-refundable.

5. Refunds

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. Key terms:

  • Credits already spent on AI inference are non-refundable.
  • The plan-generation fee is non-refundable once a plan has been produced.
  • Expired credits are non-refundable.
  • Refunds, where approved, are only returned to the original payment method used for purchase.
  • Unspent pooled credits are returned to your credit balance as described in the Refund Policy (automatically when a project finishes, and on request for credits not yet spent on a started milestone).
  • Barras Industries may delay, investigate, refuse, or reverse refunds where fraud, chargeback abuse, money laundering, sanctions violations, or other unlawful activity is suspected.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use FablePool to submit, fund, or generate material that is unlawful, infringing, harmful, or that breaches our Moderation Policy. We may remove content and refuse or reverse builds that breach these Terms.

7. Builds, outputs, and intellectual property

Ownership and licensing of build outputs are described in our Output IP Policy. Builds are produced by an automated AI agent. We do not guarantee that any build will succeed, complete, be fit for any purpose, or meet your expectations.

8. No warranty; service "as is"

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, any particular timeline for builds, or that a funded build will complete or succeed. Where a build cannot be delivered, your remedy is the return of unspent credits in accordance with the Refund Policy. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Barras Industries is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of FablePool. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the total amount you paid us in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim. This clause does not limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access, or withhold or reverse credits or refunds, where we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms or engaged in fraud, chargeback abuse, money laundering, sanctions violations, or other unlawful activity. You may stop using the service at any time.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the latest version, and material changes will be noted on the site. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence.

13. How builds run (VM build engine)

Some projects are built by an autonomous AI coding agent running on an isolated, single-use cloud virtual machine that we provision for the build. That machine can install dependencies, compile, run, and test the software so the delivered result actually works. The build VM has no access to your account, payment details, or our databases; it reaches AI models only through our metering gateway. The funded credit pool is enforced as a hard spending cap — the build cannot spend beyond what backers funded.

Where a build's decisions need a human, the AI's questions are surfaced on the project page. The project owner decides; backers may cast advisory votes; any decision the owner leaves unanswered past its deadline (24 hours) is resolved automatically to the option with the most backer votes.

If a project produces a runnable result, it may be hosted in "demo mode." Live hosting draws credits from the funding pool on an ongoing per-hour meter shown on the project page; when the credits run out, hosting pauses until it is topped up. Outputs may vary and are provided without warranty.
